Wrapping up Eric Carle...

Today was our last day to do our Eric Carle author study!  We've had so much fun learning about Mr. Carle, his amazing illustrations and books, and doing our activities!  Here are a few pictures from this week...

For Rooster's Off to See the World we completed a math page counting the animals in the story.  It also helped us with our number sight words!

For The Mixed-Up Chameleon the children colored a chameleon to put up in the classroom, but it had to cameoflauge to the environment!  The kids LOVED this activity and did such an amazing job!

Pierce's chameleon is super creative!!!!  It is on the ceiling! :)

For The Very Quiet Cricket the kids used different textures (sandpaper, a grater, and velcro) to create their own cricket.

Finally, our last Tiny Seed activity was to create a flower and label the parts...

We've had so much fun in...
Happy Friday!

  1. Did you know that the Mister Roger's section of PBS Kids has a video of Eric Carle reading From Head To Toe. Might be a nice ending to your time with EC.
